1. Old Paint Cans: Once opened, a container of paint usually only lasts for about 1-2 years because when stored in the basement or garage, the temperature changes can cause the color to go bad more quickly.
2. Outgrown Sports Equipment: If the equipment is in good shape, consider donating it to your neighborhood recreation center or contemplating selling your items on a website dedicated to used sports gear and fitness apparel.
3. Baby Gear: Even if you know you'll never use it again, getting rid of cherished baby gear can be difficult for emotional reasons. Giving these items to a colleague, family member, or charity who can use them may make it more peaceful to let go.
4. Holiday Decor You Haven't Used in Years: Look through your holiday stash, and if you haven't touched that garland or doilies in the past few years, it may be time to pass it on.
5. Old Electronics: Take a look at the old electronics and determine if you'll ever use them again. If not, check online for a listing of retailers or recycling stations that will take them.
